Your story belongs here
Perimenopause and menopause are still whispered about, brushed off, and Googled at 2 a.m. when there's no one around to ask. Too many women are told their symptoms are "just part of getting older" and sent home to white-knuckle it.
When you share what you're going through — the hot flashes, the brain fog, the 3 a.m. wakeups, the wins, the workarounds, the doctor who finally listened — you turn private struggle into shared knowledge. You remind the next woman that she isn't imagining things, isn't alone, and isn't out of options.
This is what we mean by one collective voice. Flushed and fearless — together.

Before you share, a few things to know
Everything is read before it's shared more widely. We review posts to keep this a safe, supportive space — not to edit your experience or tidy it up. Your voice stays yours.
Write in whatever voice is your own. Frank, funny, raw, clinical — all welcome. This is a place where "vaginal dryness" and "I cried in the Target parking lot" belong in the same sentence.
Save your own copy before you submit, just in case.
The guidelines
Share your experience, not a prescription. Telling us what happened to you and what helped you is powerful — that's the whole point. Please don't tell other women what dose to take, what to stop taking, or what to demand at their appointment. What worked for your body may not be right for hers, and only her provider knows her full picture.
No miracle cures, no misinformation. AxisHer is built on evidence. Please don't post claims that a supplement "reverses" menopause, that hormone therapy "always" causes cancer, or anything you can't stand behind. When in doubt, frame it as your experience ("here's what I tried") rather than fact for everyone.
No selling, no recruiting, no "DM me for my protocol." This isn't a marketplace. Please don't promote supplements, coaching packages, products, or programs — including your own. Mentioning that something generically helped you is fine; using this space to sell or recruit is not.
Protect your privacy — and everyone else's. Leave out anything you wouldn't want public: your full name if you'd rather stay anonymous, your address, phone, email, or insurance details. Don't share someone else's private health information, and please don't name-and-shame a specific provider.
Candor, yes. Graphic for its own sake, no. We talk openly here about periods, sex, bleeding, leaking, and libido — the stuff other spaces make you feel weird about. Be honest. Just keep it centered on your experience rather than graphic for shock value.
Be kind. Assume good faith. No shaming anyone's body, weight, choices, or where they are in the journey. HRT or no HRT, "natural" or medicated, sailing through or barely hanging on — every path is welcome here.
Keep the facts straight. If you cite a statistic or a study, don't misrepresent it. Being innocently unsure is fine; knowingly spreading something misleading isn't.
Share only what's yours. Post photos, words, and materials that you own and have the right to share.
Lead with your story, not a soapbox. Access to good menopause care matters to all of us, and your experience of it is welcome. But this space is for your story rather than broad political arguments — and honestly, your lived experience makes the point better than a debate would.
If you're struggling, you deserve real support
The mood changes of this transition are real, and for some women they're serious. If you're having thoughts of harming yourself, please reach out to someone who can help right now — in the U.S., you can call or text 988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), available 24/7.
Posts that encourage self-harm or present it as a solution won't be published — not because your pain isn't real, but because we want you here, and safe.
Two spaces, one set of values
The guidelines above are the shared foundation for both places you can share with AxisHer. A few practical differences:
The Story Wall (public)
Your story may be read by anyone, so share what you're comfortable making public. Please keep it to about 250 words so every story gets the attention it deserves. Stories are reviewed before they're published; you'll get an email when yours goes live. Add a photo if you'd like — images help others connect with your story. Only use images you own.
The Community (members only)
This is a members-only space — more of an ongoing conversation than a wall. Post as long or as short as you need. Our community team keeps an eye on things and may step in if a post crosses a line. What's shared here stays here. Please don't screenshot or repost another member's story elsewhere.
One last thing
You are not here to prove your symptoms are "bad enough." If it's affecting your life, it counts. Tell us the messy, human truth of it — that's exactly what makes this place work.
Your health. Your axis. One collective voice.
